This place is a must visit in Ubud. Lots of monkeys around, very green and mostly you are in the shade. Staff is present around, so you feel safe. Very nice park to walk around. I recommend not to bring a backpack with you, or hang anything on it, monkeys can catch or try to take it off, but this is more funny then dangerous 😄
Spent about 2.5 hours here and it still felt too short. The forest is big and shady, with lots of paths, huge old trees and a temple. Monkeys are everywhere doing their own thing: grooming, playing, fighting over snacks. Really fun to watch. I sat down on a rock that turned out to be a monkey trail, and a group just sat next to me and started grooming each other like I wasn't there. They're calm and used to people, since staff feed them nuts and corn throughout the day.Tip: bring as little as possible and keep everything in zipped pockets. I saw a monkey snatch a woman's wallet, chain and all. The café is fenced in for exactly this reason.Toilets and benches are available, so it's easy to take a break. Parking is paid hourly but costs almost nothing. The ticket was cheaper on **.com than at the gate, and entry was smooth. A lovely place.
A fun place to spend an afternoon in the shades of the forest among funny monkeys! Don’t miss the photo opt with a monkey ;)
This is a great place to go if your travelling to ubud, it’s a lot of fun and they have tons of monkeys there. You only really need to plan to be there for an hour - an hour and a half
Our visit to the Monkey Forest was quite an experience—monkeys were everywhere! Be prepared for them to walk right next to you, casually crossing your path as though you’re simply a guest in their home. There’s no need to search for them; they’re very much part of the whole adventure!Buying our tickets was wonderfully convenient. We purchased discounted tickets on **.com on the spot, then simply scanned the QR codes for entry. Quick, easy and a little saving too!For a fun souvenir, you could pay IDR 50,000 for a staff-assisted monkey “wefie” during our visit. A cheeky photo opportunity to remember the ** by! 🐒📸With monkeys roaming freely around us, this was definitely a different experience from watching animals in an enclosure. Fascinating to see them so close—but a little awareness goes a long way!
