When you arrive at the attraction, go straight to the entrance of the show, which is located underground. Exchange your ticket voucher with the staff wearing red jackets, and then you’re ready to enjoy the show.The show tells the story of the people of Dunhuang—their lives, their struggles, and their efforts throughout the ages. It beautifully conveys how spiritual and overwhelming Dunhuang feels, shaped by the generations of people who devoted their lives to making Dunhuang what it is today.The story was rich and deeply moving. The sound, lighting, stage design, and performances were all incredible. Everything came together so beautifully that I was truly impressed. It was not just a show—it felt like experiencing the spirit and history of Dunhuang itself.

It was absolutrly amazing. The show was designed to be interactive and engaging so you shouldn't be expecting a sitting-watching performance. In contrast, you will walk through several spaces, watching the actors and performers, and also listening to the staffs telling stories about Dunhuang. As foreigners, we barely understood chinese but we were still highly captivated and inspired - art exceeds language boundaries ! Honestly just take a basic ticket price and the experience will be more than premium ! I highly recommend during summertime to take the 19:00pm slot, after which the sun hasnt set yet and you still have time to go around and have fun.
