大報恩寺遺址景區介紹
大報恩寺遺址景區於2015年正式對公眾開放，現為國家一級博物館，全國重點文物保護單位，以遺址的研究、保護、闡釋及展示為核心，為教育、欣賞、深思和知識共享提供多種體驗。景區坐落於南京城市發源地長幹裏，依托中國明代大報恩寺考古遺址而建。大報恩寺的源頭，可追溯到東吳時期中國南方地區的塔寺之始。千余年間，屢廢屢建，寺名亦屢屢更易。
永樂十年（1412年），明成祖朱棣敕工部於原址宏拓，建大報恩寺及「天下第一塔」九層琉璃寶塔。大報恩寺琉璃塔被稱作「中國之大古董、永樂之大窯器」，是中國與世界建築史上的偉大奇跡。十七世紀後半葉，琉璃塔被介紹至歐洲，西方人稱之為「南京瓷塔」，將其看作中國文化的標誌性建築。

The Grand Bao’en Temple Heritage Site is a very impressive place to visit. I went on a weekday and the area is विशाल, with a comprehensive blend of art exhibitions and historical reconstruction. It offers a good understanding of the development of Buddhism in China.The site is extensive and even a quick visit with some photography would take about 2 to 3 hours. The central pagoda allows access by lift from the 2nd floor to the 8th floor, followed by stairs up to the 9th and 10th floors. On the 10th floor there is a Buddha statue. The entire pagoda is constructed with a steel and glass structure, providing panoramic views of Nanjing from different angles.If explored in detail, it would likely take a full day to fully appreciate everything. Overall, it is highly recommended.
What a fantastic place to visit. It’s very diverse and a wonderful area to learn and explore. Of course take some beautiful pictures. You can easily spend half a day there and enjoy some food or drinks at the end in the cafe. We enjoyed it to the full. Highly recommend!

Worth every penny but try to go late afternoon after 4pm is the best. You can stay till dark for the tower light up show.
