平山湖大峽谷

Pingshan Grand Canyon lives in the shadow of the famous Danxia landforms around Zhangye, but honestly? It’s a must-go in its own right. 🤩Getting there: Book a tour departing from Zhangye, or take a Didi and arrange with your driver to wait for you — there’s not much passing traffic out here, so don’t count on finding a ride back. 🚗What makes it special is the mix: sweeping viewpoints from above, and then you actually walk down into the canyon and feel the scale of it. Two completely different experiences in one visit. 🥾⏰ Go early. We arrived in the morning and had the place almost to ourselves — just a handful of other visitors in the whole canyon. By midday I imagine it’s a different story.Plan for 2.5 to 3.5 hours to do it properly. Worth every minute. ✨

I went here basically on a whim, and most of the way down the steep stone steps, legs already hurting, seeing a "geological hazard area - pass through quickly" sign, I was worried I'd made a mistake. The climb is pretty difficult if you're not in shape! None of that matters, though, when you're in the canyon. It's beautiful, peaceful, and incredible. I feel really lucky to have gone. Walk took approximately two hours.

I love this place! Suitable for those who love nature. A loooot of climbing and going down the stairs but totally worth it 👍🏼

They have 2 paths one that covering the whole Canyon and the other part of it. Both takes around the same time as the former paths most of it they is a buggy to bring you around. Is fun if you like exploring Canyon, there are quite a number of steps to climb and going down and some are very steep there are railing on both sides. One challenging path is the 90 degrees stairs, it was exciting yet tiring but good experience. If you decide not to go that way there is a less tiring path.

The canyon itself is amazing. Overpriced ** and poor communication but still a fantastic thing to see. Definitely go down into the canyon, and climb the sky ladder if you have the nerve!
