金龍洞地下河

The Jinlong cave is a good place to visit if you have never seen anything like it before. If you have seen others, I would skip it. One of the major selling points is the underground river boat ride but when we went, it was no longer being offered since September. The tour guide is not professionally trained. All naming and explanation is not geared towards science enthusiasts but rather people seeking out simple curios. As the area is owned and run by the villagers you do get to interact with them which is nice if you know chinese. They will offer their lunch services. Chicken will be slayed on the spot and cooked- guaranteeing the freshest experience. The butchering method is bonier than western preference. When we went in mid-october, the weather was perfect. You will have to arrange a driver to and from since this location is very remote.

So I did my research, and it said that a boat experience would be with the cave exploration, but we never got to go on a boat. Experience was cut short and I’m disappointed that nothing was stated about us not going on the boat. The cave was nice and we had a fun time walking through it, but if we see pictures of a boat ride in the caves and even searching it up says that we get to experience that when purchasing a ticket, then we should’ve gotten that experience. We bought the ticket expecting a full experience but we never got it. Be more clear and let people know before they purchase it, especially since many come from far away (we drove 2 hours), thanks.
