One of the best places in Suzhou. Breath taking views and amazing lights at night. Must visit if you are going to China
So glad I took a ride on the Suzhou Eye! The cabins are incredibly comfortable and the movement so smooth that all you can do is sit back and enjoy the unique views of Suzhou. About 20 minutes total. Don't miss this opportunity while you're in the city — highly recommended!
The Suzhou Eye offers breathtaking panoramic views of Jinji Lake and the city skyline — truly one of the best spots to see Suzhou from above. It’s conveniently located within walking distance of the metro, making it easy to reach.The best time to visit is around sunset, when the skyline transforms from day to night and the city lights sparkle across the lake — absolutely magical
The ride lasts about 28 minutes. We were lucky—no one else was there, so we had the whole air-conditioned cabin to ourselves. From the top, you get a great bird’s-eye view of Suzhou and the full stretch of Jinji Lake. We caught the sunset, and it was stunning to watch the city lights slowly turn on as the sky turned golden. Outside was hot, but inside the cabin it was cool and comfortable, giving us a much-needed break (our feet were already sore from walking all day 😅). A peaceful and romantic way to enjoy Suzhou—highly recommend going around sunset!
