Very good experience. Took less than a minute to look at the hall, go on the app, and get a QR code for entrance. Great spot for pictures.

We were surprised to find that you are allowed inside the hall, so we took the opportunity right away. The hall is definitely worth a look from the inside, especially since it also houses an exhibition about its construction. You should set aside half an hour for your visit.

Definitely not my cup of tea, but might be also that I enjoy nature more compared with culture. I have read recommendations by others saying that People‘s auditorium is a must see when in Chongqing, so I gave it a try. And standing outside with all the herds of tourists around where I felt like trying hard not to photo bomb any picture taken. The view is okay but maybe good enough to look at a photo than being there. I still decided to purchase a ticket for inside as I thought maybe the beauty is inside and it just cost bit more than 1$ but well, quite average. The interesting things to see in my opinion is the red escalator at the entrance and looking up in the auditorium up to the steel dome which is remarkable However… My ** there ended with a nice experience: at the other side of this huge place is the Chonqing museum of the Three Gorges with free admission and it featured beautiful displays and huge multimedia screens which I can recommend to visit.

The Great Hall of Chongqing is an impressive architectural landmark, reminiscent of Beijing’s Temple of Heaven. Its grand design and spacious plaza are striking, but the interior feels underwhelming compared to the exterior. A quick visit suffices—worth seeing, but not a must.
