The museum is a great place to understand a bit more about the region before going anywhere else. Covers the various different groups of organisms and people who have reigns in the region from single celled organisms up till modern day history. There are quite a number of physical objects such as animals, housing, murals, carvings, scenarios that have been replicated to aid understanding. If you are not on a guided tour, there will definitely be too many things to see in a day. Look out for the special symbols on the objects displayed to figure out which are the featured ones. If you have the means, getting a guided tour is great (provided you understand Chinese). There are different durations of the tour to choose from which covers until a later period in history. Special shoutout to our guide 崔老師 for doing such a good job with the tour! He was professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and helped a lot in understanding and clarifying the region's history in a short span of time.
