Many thanks to Dennis and Mr Suryat for organising a well planned trip, despite the challenges of public holidays in Uzbekistan over the new year period. Both Dennis and Mr Suryat were knowledgeable and engaging during the trip, sharing interesting facts about the history of each location. I felt that adequate time was given to each location and the days were well balanced, with enough rest provided after some tiresome days of extensive travel. I appreciated that Mr Suryat arranged for an assistant to accompany us along the trip, so that we would not need to worry about our heavy luggage. My only criticism would be the long and rough drive from Samarkand to Bukhara. The road conditions are horrible and the drive was awfully long. Perhaps consider changing this part of the trip to the high speed train instead. It would not only save time but also make for a more pleasant experience.
