(Nova Hotel)

The hotel was easy to find, the room was very clean and the facilities like the bathroom were also very good. In them morning I got some breakfast and I must say, it was better than many other breakfasts that I had in the Netherlands

My recent stay at the Nova Hotel Amsterdam was absolutely fantastic, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. (29-Sep till 3-Oct 2025) The location is truly unbeatable. Being just steps from Dam Square and right behind the Royal Palace meant we could walk everywhere—from the main shopping streets to the beautiful canals and museums—with incredible ease. The proximity to the tram stop also made arriving and departing a breeze. What truly made the experience memorable was the staff. They were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay, providing great local tips and always offering a warm greeting. The room was spacious (a major plus for a central Amsterdam hotel!) and impeccably clean, providing a quiet and comfortable retreat after a long day of sightseeing. We especially appreciated the complimentary 24/7 tea and coffee station in the lobby—a small touch that makes a big difference. If you are looking for a hotel that combines a perfect, central location with excellent service and great value, the Nova Hotel is the place to book.

Sconsigliato

Very central hotel, budget friendly, an excellent base for short 永安 to amsterdam. Spacious room, large fridge, hairdryer, beautiful Rituals products in bathroom. Clean linens and towels, comfy bed. Free Tea, coffee, water available off reception. Did not try breakfast. There is no AirCon in the hotel but fans are provided. Get off tram at Paleisstraat, cross the road and its about a minute walk up.

Excellent location closer to everything within walking distance. 15-20 mins walk from Central train station. 5 mins away from supermarket. The tram station is right in front of the hotel. Very quiet at night! Friendly staffs offer to help on anything they can. Free water and coffee all day long! Bigger room and bathroom comparing with similar hotel. We will be back! Thank you!

**Extended Review (83 words):** While the room itself was spacious and clean, our stay was overshadowed by multiple challenges. My husband suffered a painful injury after slipping on the stairs while struggling with heavy luggage—a situation exacerbated by the hotel’s lack of elevators. Despite urgently requesting an accessible room due to his injury, we were told none were available. The only alternative was a first-floor room, which still required navigating 1.5 flights of stairs, adding unnecessary strain. Staff support was absent during this ordeal, and no apologies or assistance were offered. Furthermore, the absence of air conditioning could make summer stays unbearably hot, a detail future guests should prioritize. On the upside, the hotel’s central location is undeniably convenient for exploring the area. However, travelers considering this spot for its prime location must weigh this against the significant accessibility issues, especially if mobility or comfort is a priority. Those with heavy luggage or physical limitations may find the stairs and lack of amenities particularly frustrating. Proceed with caution unless these drawbacks are manageable for your needs.
