小型經典房 - Maison Albert

I checked in at 11pm on a hot Summer night.  It was 37c outside and I was desperate for a shower.  I went to my room, only to find that the shower door was completely missing.  I had to shower anyway, making the floor wet.  Meanwhile, the room was hot as an over, despite having run the air conditioning for 15 minutes.  When I went to tell the front desk, they said they "I shouldn't have used the room".   After some negotiation, they gave me another room on the 6th floor.  But guess what? This time the lift wasn't working!  I had to walk 6 floors with my bags (no assistance offered).  By this time is was nearly midnight.   I don't understand why they wouldn't warn you in advance if there are maintenance issues.  At least I could have had a chance to switch hotels.   I would definitely think twice before booking here.

房間前台特別熱情，而且是個金髮大姐姐超級好看，而且很温柔！房間怎麼講稍微小了點，而且不太喜歡的地方就是保潔的味道很大。每次叫了收拾房間之後都要開窗戶放很久的空氣才行，巴黎還是很好玩的

The hotel was absolutely lovely. Our room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was quiet and charming. We purchased the breakfast option which met all of our needs with a good selection of fresh fruit, English style breakfast as well as European. There was one very crusty gentleman on the desk at night, who was unprofessional, (complaining about the new management, saying they were too cheap to put coffee in the room, and we couldn’t have an additional packet of instant, even though only one had been provided etc., ) bordering on rude, and this is the reason for my four star rating instead of five.  The day staff was exceptional – very helpful.  On the second day, the coffee was automatically provided lol – day one was just an oversight.

The Hotel Gabriel is a very pretty well designed boutique hotel in a great location away from the usual touristy areas of Paris, just steps from the hip upper Marais, a short 30 minute walk to the Seine and public transportation abounding. The rooms are a tad small, like many Paris hotels, but the rooms are thoughfully designed maximizing space the best they can. The bathrooms are very functional and once again thoughfully designed. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was adequate with a nice assortment for the hotel guests.
