The location is very convenient and is a short walk to shops. The staffs are well trained with attention to details and accommodates requests. Breakfast buffet is also a value for money with a free parking as a bonus during our stay. Will definitely come back!

ROCKFORD REGRETS With fringe tickets to go we arrived at the Rockford ready for an overnight of fun! But not all guests had the same plans as us. Getting ready for our show when I heard a very clear "help help somebody please help me" coming not far from our room. Without hesitation I run into the hallway looking for whom was needing help. Across the hallway and 2 rooms down I see the person in distress, as does the couple in the room on one side of my room and the lady from the room the other side of mine. We all arrive at the door to find a young extremely distressed couple smack bang, literally, in the middle of a physical argument. The room is trashed and one of the persons is attempting to exit the room whilst the other person is pushing the door closed from the inside. We guests, 3 of us, are trying to keep the door open. Why? In hindsight, I cannot answer this question. After a good 45 mins of struggling to keep the door open, in which time the manager has not helped once I might add, the police arrive and arrest one of the couple. We go back to our room and after taking 10 mins to calm my nerves I realise we have missed the show. Go downstairs to find somewhere else to go, see manager and start explaining that due to the hour spent assisting him contain the situation we have disappointedly missed our show. He says nothing. I suggest a late check out as a way of showing his appreciation. He smiles. The next morning a call comes through to our room at exactly 10am telling us we are late to check out. Delivered by a very curt young lady we had already encountered when asking for pool towels so we could park take in a swim of the slimy bottomed rooftop pool. I requested for a closer inspection to see if a late departure had been noted for our room. Without drawing breath a loud "NO" was delivered to my tympanic membrane. I immediately hung up for fear of having her shatter my other membrane. Which saw another 6 phone calls and a quick pack up. All in all a horrible stay and complete waste of over $1000. It was ok, but not more. The two most important things for me in any hotel are a comfortable bed and a good shower. the bed was great but the water pressure in the shower was very poor. Aside from that, there were other issues that I would not expect from a hotel of this standard, carrying the prices it does. The TV power button did not work, neither did any of the top buttons on the remote. Once I turned the TV on at the GPO and then on the actual TV itself, I was unable to use the connected DVD player as the buttons to switch to it on the remote did not work. Breakfast was quite poor. Basically cereal or scrambled eggs with a few other options such as fruit cups, yoghurt and biscuits. It served my purpose being close to the convention centre, but I doubt I'd stay there again.

Clean and tidy. Very comfortable bed will stay again staff were extremely helpful and polite.

Great location, breakfast in the morning smelt fantastic coming down to reception, lovely pool on the roof. Just don’t forget to pre book parking else you end up in the Wilson parking down the road which is still ok just not ideal.
