蒂姆布爾嘟嘟平房 (Tuk Tuk Timbul Bungalows)

If you’re looking for peace and quiet a bit away from the main town, Tuktuk Timbul is very well located. We stayed in one of their traditional-style little houses, which were very cute and charming. It’s a great spot if your plan is simply to relax, enjoy the atmosphere, and do nothing much. The homestay has a restaurant (we didn’t try the food though), a pool, a ping pong table, and a billiard table — so you can easily stay entertained without leaving the property. For the price, it’s definitely good value. That said, if you want to explore or do activities around Lake Toba, this may not be the best base. There isn’t much to do in the immediate area, and the staff weren’t very helpful when we asked for recommendations — apart from renting a scooter, they didn’t provide much guidance. Communication was also tricky as they don’t really speak English. Service felt a bit cold overall; the owners live nearby but never greeted us, which made us feel like we were disturbing them rather than being welcomed. In summary: a good option if your goal is to switch off, relax, and stay put at the homestay itself. But if you’re looking for friendly service, local tips, or activities beyond the property, you might find it lacking.

Very very good hotel! I found peace in here where you can see directly view for Toba Lake. Quiet place but calm🤍

Actually the place quite spacious and the room view facing lake toba which is very beautiful. But when we came here, no water almost 2 hours I wait .They said have some issue and we decided to checkout.

Отель с шикарным видом из бунгало. Это единственный его плюс. В целом домики неплохие, но конкретно мой очень мне понравился. В кровате куча муравьев разных размеров, они не кусаются, но постоянно ползают по тебе, за 3 дня просто достали меня. Также на крышу несколько раз за ночь падают плоды дерева. Стук такой силы, как будто кто то разбил окно. Первые два раза я очень сильно испугался, потому что этот стук прервал мой сон, потом я уже привык, но все равно пару раз за ночь он меня будил. Все остальное более менее нормально. Мыла, шампуня или геля для душа не было совсем. Вода горячая есть.

It is such a paradise on this island. It is a quiet place, beautiful for couples, families, kids or to hang out with friends. The place is spacious, with direct access to the lake. Almost all bungalows are facing the beautiful lake. Perfect place to mediate, read or chill. They also have catamarans, swimming pool for kids, a billiard table, scooters to rent and a restaurant with a beautiful terrasse. The staff is so friendly and warm. I totally recommend this place. I have been going there for years, and it is the absolute best place on this island.

We stayed for 3 days 2 nites at 2 (side-by-side) superior bungalows. All bungalows have their own balconies & 2 rattan chairs + small coffee table. Perfect place to enjoy majestic view of the lake toba with your tea/coffee/snack. All rooms have fantastic lake view. It was a very relaxing stay,you can swim in the lake or dip in the swimming pool. They served good food. My kids loved the pizza. The lady boss prepared the pizza from scratch ⭐❤️ and it tasted way better than pizza hut or domino's...We ordered thrice 👍 Clean rooms, with hot shower & modern toilets. We had great sleep with comfy beds & pillows. The staff were very helpful too. Highly recommended! Thanks Tuk Tuk Bungalows 🌹👍

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad. 2 mooie, eenvoudige maar schone bungalows aan het water. Goede bedden. Prima ontbijt met pannenkoeken voor de kids en juices. De Nederlandse eigenaresse en haar staf regelden 2 tuktuks die met ons het eiland verkenden en de boot terug. Deze pikte ons op bij het resort. Zeer mooie, rustige ligging.
