阿倫費爾斯城堡 (Schloss Arenfels)

Was actually looking forward to the stay but it didn’t turn out very well. The location probably is great for events in daytime but definitely not well equip to function as a hotel for stays. No cafe or restaurants onsite and no reception if you arrived later than 5. Unfortunately we only arrived around 7pm and it was all dark and no lighting to show the key box or the door to the accommodation. We probably were the only guests there that night so the place was kind spooky without lighting. The same time , the place is under renovation for upgrade? and Xmas events. The courtyard is packed with raw materials and is messy. What’s more, the toilet doesn’t come with curtain and ironically there were workings done outside the toilet in the same time. This was probably the worst experience I’ve had in a while, the venue can be great and hope things can be done to improve the experience.

Excellent location, beautiful castle and convenient for hosting a group of 6. We had our own area so no need to be forced into the common area. Beds were good, but the rooms are a bit noisy when there are other guests in the adjacent room. We were lucky that we were able to join the ****** dinner theater show that was planned the first night, that was a lot of fun. There was also a wedding party in the basement the second night. Sound wise not too much of an issue with the music, but the guests were smoking and talking in front of the bedrooms until very late. Not a huge problem, but it would have been better if the hotel made sure the wedding guests were standing on the other side of the courtyard as now it was like they were standing inside the room. Staff is very friendly and the breakfast excellent. An ideal location for a short 永安. Highly recommended.
