Me hospedé en el hotel durante la temporada de carnaval para asistir a la Guacherna y la experiencia fue muy buena. La ubicación es excelente porque permite llegar fácilmente al recorrido del desfile, lo cual es ideal si quieres vivir el ambiente del carnaval sin tener que desplazarte demasiado. La habitación estaba limpia, cómoda y con buen aire acondicionado, algo muy necesario con el calor de Barranquilla. El personal del hotel fue muy amable y siempre estuvo dispuesto a ayudar con recomendaciones sobre la ciudad y el carnaval. Además, el ambiente en el hotel era muy alegre porque muchos huéspedes también estaban en la ciudad por la Guacherna, uno de los eventos más importantes del Carnaval de Barranquilla, que atrae a miles de turistas cada año

My stay was very good, the staff was professional and helpful. My only complaint was the imposed tax on Colombian citizens. I believe, I should be given the benefits of a foreign visitor. Colombia has forced us US citizens to have dual citizenship if you were born in Colombia, so they can penalize us with their tax laws. I’m a U.S. citizen I’ve lived in the US for 53 years. I paid the taxes because I came to Barranquilla to have a great time and I truly did, I didn’t come to argue or dispute their laws. The problem was that I decided to extend my stay at the hotel not knowing that I would have to pay the taxes again, that upset me and expressed my feelings. But the staff are there to do their jobs. When I read the fine print with booking connections it mentioned that the tax would apply if I was staying at the hotel for more than 60 days, I only 6 days maybe I totally misunderstood the information.
