橡樹酒店 (Burnley North Oaks Hotel and Leisure Club)

Great accommodation. Recommend if your in the area and looking for a good stay over.

As always excellent hotel and staff. Great location easy parking

I had arranged for myself and my partner to stay at the oaks hotel on Friday 5th December, as we wasn't going to s Christmas party I thought there would be the atmosphere of the Christmas party nights, and hoped we may join in . However when we arrived the lady on the desk told us there was no Christmas party nights booked at all throughout December, the bar area was closed , and if we wanted a drink we would have to sit in the reception area and the reception staff would get you one . So I wasn't happy about this as I hadn't been told on my booking that everything was closed for a referb . If I had if been told I would have booked somewhere else. So we were given a card for our room and told to cross over the restaurant area and follow the signs, after 6 staircases later up and down we found out room, there was no lift and as I have severe arthritis in my hips this was very painful.. The room was ok , very dated and yes definitely needed updating, same for the bathroom. The bed was a very small one, not a double bed. So we went down to reception for a drink , the prices were very expensive £8.40 for a glass of wine , we sat in the reception are where the reception lady got our drinks and we sat , it was nicley decorated in the reception but no atmosphere or no other guests . We then went to get showered and changed for dinner, we sat in the restaurant area , no table cloths on the tables just wooden table top with cutlery and a napkin, the food was good but the price extsusionet for what we got . We then had a few drinks and went to bed there were another 3 guests in the dining room area . So we arrive now to breakfast, we sat in the same position as we had done the night before, we ordered 2 x English breakfasts , sounded good, when they arrived the bacon and sausage were not cooked so I sent them back the young girl serving came back out in seconds with the on a plate and they were still not cooked, so sent it back again, when it came the 3 Rd time the sausage were well done and the bacon had just been shriveled up in the microwave, by now the other items on the plate were cold, so I made an attempt of eating it but it had spoiled my appetite so ate as much as I could, we then proceeded to pack up and check out. So not a night I was expecting at all .

The place is impressive. A great Xmas decorations set in the main stairway. The room was nice and spacious. Bathroom was a little dated, but clean. The place is a maze trying to get to your room, but doesn't ruin the experience. I'll definitely return.

Fine stay here, staff were helpful and the room was quite big with everything I needed. The hotel was in ok condition but had some signs of age. Slightly disappointed the pool and leisure rooms needed an additional fee, this was likely in the small print but it wasn't obvious when I booked!

Food was awful or there was half the menu out of stock. Ended up going to the local pub for food and drinks the hotel is beautiful but really needs an up grandad

The room was confortable and clean. Good location and amenities

The room was nice and big. Comfortable matress which was clean. AN iron and ironing board was provided which is a plus. Nice tea making facilities which includes hot chocholate! I will definitely stay here again
