Matinloc is a truly wonderful place. We had a great time there. It's peaceful, private, and incredibly beautiful! The people there are very friendly and welcoming. Every morning, a beautiful sunrise appears in front of the resort. The Filipino cuisine was delicious! If you're looking for a place with more privacy and excellent service, this is the resort for you. Congratulations to the entire Matinloc team.

From the moment we left the port, our Matinloc experience already felt special. The boat ride was smooth, and the boatmen immediately assisted us with our luggage. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Ms. Jam from FO/Reservations, who gave us a friendly tour and clear briefing. Even before the 永安, Reservations Manager Ms. Jeannette had already been very responsive to my emails, making the planning stress-free. Our VIP villa, perched on a cliff, offered an astounding view that raised the standard of our stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the generous souvenirs and hygiene kits provided. The staff were consistently attentive and polite special thanks to FO Supervisor Ms. Jhona and their Korean General Manager for adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highlights of our stay included the refreshing fresh fruit shakes, fun water activities, the amazing walking path lined with century-old trees, and of course, the delicious food (their pizza was a standout). The WiFi was surprisingly fast..even powered by Starlink at the port. We also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of staff recommending where to get beers in town since they don’t sell alcohol on-site. Matinloc truly combines paradise-like views with genuine hospitality. Maraming salamat to the whole team for making this my best El Nido stay so far.. I would gladly return a hundred times over.

Gut bis sehr gut: - Lage und Anlage des Hotels - Essen - Service im Restaurant, am Strand, bei den Touren Weniger gut: - Hilfsbereitschaft bzw. Mind-set der Rezeption (weist einen eher nur auf Probleme hin, als dass sie die Probleme für mich löst. - Hotel ist an manchen Stellen schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Braucht etwas Instandhaltung (Licht, Toilettenspülung, Badetücher, ...) - Umständliche Anreise mit harten Fristen. Wir hätten um ein Haar den letzten Transfer verpasst, weil die Fähre zu spät war. - In Summe zu hoher Preis bei den genannten Kritikpunkten.

speed boat is not available. They only have 2 bangka for all the guests in the resort that you need to ask them 3x if theres any available bangka for the next day. They served same Food in the boat tours for two consecutive days we had☹️. almost miss our flight. the driver for the van was late. They need to coordinate this bangka and van transfers to airport prior cause they knew we have a flight. Too far from everything. 45mins(bangka) from the mainland to the resort so having more bangka and speed boats is a must. Overall I loved the view and staffs were nice and attentive. 🙂

Matinloc Island Resort is a perfect retreat after spending a few nights in El Nido town. The boat ride to get to the hotel is only 15 minutes. The staff is wonderful! They are very helpful for everything. The food options were good, but limited. The spa (massage + head massage) was wonderful! There are some ants and very few TV channels. The beach is beautiful and the room was clean. The staff really made the place special though.

Mantiloc resort is a paradise. If you are looking for a relaxing time in a unique spot this place is for you. The staff are so kind and helpful, they make it an amazing stay. The half day boat 永安 is also well worth it and one of the best parts of our 永安. The menu could do with being expanded, with more vegetarian and vegan options. Also a barista coffee option would make it perfect., though a nespresso machine was a available upon request

So I don’t normally write reviews, but this hotel was so shocking I feel like I need to say something. I’ll start off with the good points: 1. The water is pretty. 2. The regular staff are very nice. The bad points: 1. The location is awful. They do not make it easy to leave or do anything. They offer a free boat ride for all arrivals and departures. Anyone who wants to leave the island can join this boat ride for 1,000 pesos (but be careful because the staff will not emphasize the fact that it is only this price one way and that it’s per person. So it’s actually 2,000 pesos). If there are no boats for arrivals or departures, then you must pay 9,000 pesos one way. 2. The activities they offer are astronomically more expensive than on the main island. We wanted to go island hopping. On the main island, the group tours are about 1,500 pesos and the private tours can be negotiated down to 7,500 pesos. The island of the hotel offers group tours for around 3,000 pesos (which is only if they have more than 8 people signed up—in our case, there were not even 8 people on the island so that was out of the question). The cheapest private tours for island hopping are about 16,000 pesos. The crazy part is that the hotel is right next to the blue lagoon so they could at least offer more reasonable prices. Side note: these two factors forced us to leave a day early because what was offered on the main island was still significantly cheaper than what the hotel offered. 3. We overheard the director of the hotel screaming into the phone very aggressively and unprofessionally. 4. Our toilet did not work and it overflowed. The staff did not manage to fix it or really tried to fix it. 6. The food is not good at all—which is not surprising as I’m assuming they only had one chef cooking the food since it always took forever to arrive. 7. The wifi was not good. 8. The first room we went to smelled like mold so we had to move to another room which smelled better.
