哈利法克斯機場酒店 (Hfx Airport Hotel)

Really have nothing bad to say about the hotel but lots to say about the restaurant, the Hidden Gem! As there were no choices for restaurants nearby, most of us ended up at the in-house Restaurant, the Hidden Gem! We had to wait at least 20 minutes to be seated, then another 20-30 minutes before our order was taken. But must say, the beer that ,my husband ordered came very fast! Another long wait for the food to come. My husband ordered the Traditional Club, no problem there. I ordered the Seafood Platter and that is the worst food, I ever had! When I tried one of the breaded scallop which was a darker shade than usual, the scallop was rubbery! The shrimp was overcooked too but at least that was eatable. The beer battered haddock was uneatable, the end part it was so hard , I could not cut into it, so I tried the middle and the batter and fish was uncooked, batter was soggy and fish had an unpleasant smell.  I tried to catch the attention of the waiter but after 10 minutes of no success, I went up to the bar where he was and asked him to come to the table. Showed him the food, the fish in particular and he agreed with me that it was not good. He took the plate of food in and came out  a few minutes later to say that the chef insisted that the food was edible! I wished I had taken a picture of it. He offered to cook me another plate but at this point, I have lost my appetite!  Or he was going to offer me 50% of the cost of the meal. We did not agree and the waiter called the Manager. When she came, she was the most unpleasant and hostile person, insisted that we either pay 50% of the meal, since I had eaten half of the salad and the one scallop and shrimp! Otherwise she was going to have us kicked out of the hotel! As it was already past 8 p.m. and after a long day of driving, we had enough and say ok we’ll pay the 50% but would write a nasty review! She came back before we got our bill and said she will take the meal off our bill after all as she had seen the food, No apologies no nothing!  I was so disappointed as I was hoping to enjoy the delicious fresh seafood that Nova Scotia has to offer one last time before going home and this was what I got! Never had such a bad experience with any Restaurant Staff/ Manager ever!

No wake up call available, empty shampoo in shower. Clean enough as it looks like renovation may have been done at some point, but very basic. Thin walls, any talking anywhere in hallway is heard. Shuttle is "first come, first serve", so be early if you are tight on time.

It is a no thrills type of hotel but has all that you need to get the job done. The rooms are decent and clean, but the bathroom I had was split into two rooms which was weird, but hardly a deal breaker.  The location to the airport is perfect and they have a free shuttle service to and from the airport. For the price you can’t beat this spot and if you’re not fussy, this definitely works.

We stayed only one night at this hotel, and it was serviceable, if a bit below average. Having the shuttle to the airport was pretty convenient, but there is nothing to do and nowhere else to go. It's pretty out in the middle of nowhere. The Hidden Gem restaurant being in the hotel was also serviceable and convenient, but also the only dinner option. As for our room, it was below average. The fan in the bathroom didn't work, and we didn't love the bathroom/sink setup in different rooms. The lamps were far too bright with no adjustability. The TV was probably the most annoying part of this stay for us. Every other place we stayed on our 永安 had Netflix and YouTube access, but not this hotel. It's just cable, so if having a choice on what you watch matters to you and you don't want to watch ads every 15 minutes, keep that in mind. The breakfast was below average and had very limited options, pretty middle of the road.

The hotel staff were great. Once i was checked in and went to my room there were bugs climbing on the counter. Someone facecloth had not been removed and a staff member walked into the room without knocking by way of using the scan key. It took me by surprise but the employee apologized greatly daying they were unaware that I had been checked in. Over all the experience was nice. Thank you

Well we booked the hotel because we had an airport arrival which got cancelled, I tried to cancel, but the hotel only wanted to work with 永安 dot com and 永安 dot com only wanted to work with me, so never went to the hotel and paid full price. Will never 3rd party book and will choose a different hotel.

Ice machine machine didn't work told front desk said out of order told them they should put a sign 2 days later still no sign. Tv did not work for entire stay informed was not informed on arrival. Not fixed the 2 days we stayed. Coffee machine in room did not work not fixed. Toasters in continental breakfast did not work 5 mintues still not toasted. Will not ever stay here and will not recommend.

Great hotel, inexpensive and has everything you need! Large rooms, basic and tasty breakfast and kids didn't want to leave the pool. Highly recommended

This hotel is about 5 min shuttle ride from the airport. The free shuttle operates every thirty minutes to and from the airport. The hotel has an excellent restaurant and service here was exceptional for the evening meal. Note: There is no external restaurants or shops near the hotel. However, there is a very interesting Aviation Museum, just 2 minute walk from the hotel. You could easily spend about 1 to 2 hours exploring the exhibits and admission is free, but small donation is requested. The tariff includes a complimentary breakfast, which is very similar to 2-3 star hotel establishments, with plastic plates and cutlery. The only hot option is eggs and a sausage mix or similar. The rooms have a microwave, and small sink (a mini kitchen). There is a communal laundry which operates on a coin system using commercial washing machines and dryers. An internal pool is also available. My room has some views of airports - (freight aircraft) across the freeway. Overall, this hotel represents good value for money, especially compared to other airport options.

I’ve checked in very late in the evening around 10ish and I’m expecting that the rate would be cheaper or I can be upgraded as it has been a late check-in. The room got no service water or complimentary water for the price of rhe room. Yes the room is quite clean and overall the looks of the hotel outside is outdated as I didn’t expect it because it’s an airport hotel. The service is just normal.  Nice beds though.
