哈林蓋酒店 (Haringey Hotel)

Se non fosse per il personale molto gentile meriterebbe solo una stella...in 5 giorni e 4 notti in cui siamo stati non ci è stata rifatta una sola volta la stanza ed abbiamo dovuto chiedere noi altri asciugamani puliti, altrimenti non c'erano nemmeno quelli. Le foto sono abbastanza fuorvianti, basatevi sulle recensioni di coloro i quali danno punteggi bassi e non alti (che ci hanno tratto in inganno). Noi abbiamo scelto l'opzione con la colazione inclusa ma è davvero misera..infatti ogni mattina l'abbiamo fatta nei locali spendendo ulteriormente soldi. La nota positiva è la posizione ottima perché c'è la fermata del treno a 1 min a piedi e quella del pullman/metro a circa dieci minuti per raggiungere i siti di interesse della città in circa mezz'ora. Insomma, vi conviene alzare un po' il budget per avere qualcosa che si avvicini almeno ai standard minimi e non spendere poco e dover poi rimetterci una volta arrivati.

A good stay. An older Motel, but a good stay for the price. Front desk staff are friendly. Great sized rooms, very comfortable beds, clean linen and nice hot showers.

Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr freundlich und haben auch extra eine Zahnbürste geholt, als wir eine brauchten. Also Geschäftsreisender, der zur Messe musste war wir An- und Abreise etwas mühsam, obwohl in der Nähe eine Bahnstation war. Die Zimmer sind sehr alt und müssten mal renoviert werden. Hier und da hätte es auch etwas sauberer sein können. Das Frühstück war wirklich in Ordnung.

I was in London for a mix of work and pleasure, and I went for Haringey Hotel due to its more affordable rate than most accomodation in the area. I commend the hospitality and kindness of the staff which was the highlight of my stay. They were lovely and attentive, which gave it a personable feel that you don’t receive with the big franchise hotels. Check-in and check-out was fast, the Wi-Fi information was in the room and the bed was extremely comfortable. I always looked forward to hopping in, which is even better than my own at home. The location is also convenient, only a few steps away from the station and many restaurants and grocery shops to choose from. In terms of improvement, the first noticeable difference was that the photos are misleading. The room did not have the same presentation or cleanliness apparent in the ones listed. It’s similar to seeing food adverts that look jaw dropping, but when you order one in-person you’re disappointed with the reality. There are a number of issues that I acknowledge is out of the hotel’s control. The building and rooms are old, therefore the walls are thin. You can hear mumbling when people speak at regular volume, the doors open and close, and laughing partiers in the middle of the morning. It’s located next to a vehicle repair shop, which can be noisy during the day. As for what could be maintained better is the cleanliness. The mirror had spots and dust that could only have developed over several weeks or months. The kettle was full of water, most likely from the previous check-in, but it had excessive calcium build up. There was no provided instant coffee, only creamer, and the tea were single bags that you’d find in a box which didn’t have their containers. The toilet also has build-up and the shower did not include any shampoo or conditioner, only body wash and hand soap from Aldi. I myself am an Aldi shopper, but as for presentation it does not look the best. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you’re not looking for a luxury stay and are okay with bare essentials, topped with a more personal touch from the delightful staff. They have potential to raise their quality if they address the issues of cleanliness and presentation, to make it feel more like a home away from home rather than a university dorm room.

This hotel was diabolical the photo and description on their website is extremely misleading, this is a very run down hotel in serious need of a refurb and a good clean. There is no parking or any of the amenities they have falsley stated on their website, which again is very misleading. When we arrived we was given a room with no heating and the bathroom had a putrid sewerage type smell and the shower had seen better days,so we requested to be moved to another room which was slightly better, however, the shower was leaking all over the floor but we made do with this room for our stay. Breakfast was included which was served in the basement which to get to we had to walk down some outside iron steps which had pigeon excrement on them which was very off putting when you are about to eat. The room itself was freezing and the guy which was the receptionist and the cook said the heating it wasn't working so we sat with coats on waiting for our food, for 45 minutes only to be greeted with a cold breakfast, the guy had just empted a cold tin of beans and mushrooms together with 2 sausages on a plate, it was disgusting, I don't know how this place has passed a health and safety check , so in summary I would strongly recommend you do not visit this place and book a clean travelodge for less money.
