Batumera (Batumera)

Absolutely loved this place! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with smiles and complimentary drinks and the friendliest service. Batumera itself is so charming and peaceful. Location is on the quieter side of the island which was perfect for the 3 of us. It's also right in front of the beach AND the lagoon, and very close to the shark feeding area. Our suite was lovely, especially the bed! So comfy that our son had the best night's sleep. The food was fantastic! My wife can't stop raving about the mayo risole of all things haha. We had the tastiest dinner Santara, the prawn was absolutely divine. And breakfast was on point too. Our son was obsessed with the hammock! We also loved bicycles which were complimentary to use, made it really easy to get around the island. There was also a surprising amount of facilities on the island too! We enjoyed the complimentary kayaks that we took around the lagoon. We also enjoyed the beach club next to the marina. There was even a padel court of all things haha! Safe to say all our expectations were exceeded coming to Pulau Payung. Couldn't ask for a better first time experience to the Thousand Islands, and we're so glad we chose Batumera as our accommodation of choice!
