This hotel is one of the cheaper stays in Hull city centre and the old adage of 'you get what you pay for holds true here. The hotel style is similar to the cgeaper US motel style accommodations. The easiest way to review the Campanile is to do so via Pros and Cons. So here's my opinion... Pros: - The hotel staff I encountered were polite and welcoming. - The hotel room was clean and adequate for a short stay. - The showers have good water pressure Cons: - It is very dated and is in desperate need of updating and renovation. - Some rooms are clearly in a very poor condition with dirty, warn out carpets, damaged mirrors, damage to walls, tacky looking doors and missing fixtures (towel holder in bathroom). - Expensive breakfast which is additional to room rate. Overall this is a cheap city centre stay with polite staff, but it lets itself down badly with dated and some dirty and damaged rooms. If you are looking for a cheap short stay, I'd say it's tolerable, but don't come here under any illusions. *Photos show damage to Room 108.

Ok place nowt special

I came across this hotel by chance while visiting Hull with my son. It consists of two two-storey buildings, built in a style that’s very similar to classic American roadside motels — just like the ones you see in the movies. Every room, including those upstairs, has its own entrance that opens directly to the outside. Although it’s a budget hotel, the room, bed, and bathroom were all very clean. I had no complaints at all. One small but thoughtful detail was the shutter on the window — a great way to block out the early morning sun during summer in the UK. The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk from Hull city centre. If you’re travelling on a budget and want a simple, clean, and convenient place to stay, this hotel is a great choice. I’d happily stay here again if I come back to Hull.

Had a broken TV although this was replaced. The water was lukewarm and not hot enough. The place is on the average for the budget.

Staff were very good. Room is basic and priced fairly. I think to pay 2 pounds for a bottle of water is high. Also coffee in room is ok.

The mattress was horrendous, the carpet very old and stained and didn't feel clean, and the bathroom had some odd holes in the wall but was otherwise clean. It's bang central location wise, had convenient (paying) parking and is cheap. The one plus is the sound barrier doors which pretty much blocked out all noise from the busy road next to it.

A basic hotel within walking distance of the town centre.Rooms are quite large for an adult and child. Although rooms are dated they are clean. Read lots of bad reviews which made me panic unnecessarily. The lady on reception when we arrived late evening was lovely. Room was lovely and warm however I would suggest the carpets get a good clean so wear your socks. Big bonus was that they had a lovely deep bath; Would use again if we come back.

Amazing little hotel, perfect for short stays. It’s quirky and cute. Has everything you need.
