The property is near the sea. The surroundings are good the room size is good & clean. Food options are limited and too spicy. It's slightly over priced looking at the facilities.

Overall poor experience overpriced property with hardly any good food menu.i also want to share the experience with other travellers. I can from Delhi and I was suppose to meet my office colleague( male 2 person) for 1 hr in my room and then going out for dinner. Even colleague were coming from chennai & Trivandrum. The hotel said we had some bad experience 2 days back so as policy we have stopped guest entry . I spoke to 2 layers of supervisory and requested and told abt the importance but to my surprise they should zero hospitality. I would suggest traveller to avoid such hotels where the management is so insensitive & ready to display such bad hospitality

The hotel is positioned nearby to the lighthouse and breakwater. It’s a lovely hotel with attentive staff. The hotel has two restaurants, would recommend the hotel on the rooftop.

We chose d'fort as it was the only property close to tangasseri cathedral and convents. The staff was excellent. Willing to help and hear out suggestions. The trainee staff at the restaurant miss. Sunita and mr. Nikhil were always smiling and willing to serve with a smile. The only disappointment was there wasn't much choice for vegetarians. At night we hardly got any choice except for 2 punjabi dishes and some soup. No rice was available at night. Being an ayurveda resort, i was surprised to see that there were more non veg items than vegetarian items. The authentic taste for tapioca was also missing.
