I was able to check in early, which was super convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, neat, and very comfortable — really satisfied with the stay! The location was also great, easy access to food and nearby places. Overall, definitely recommended!

A very clean hotel with great customer service at a very central location ... ~ 5-10 minutes walk to the Sarawak Museum, near to carpenter streets and also the river. Have a beautiful view looking over the Sarawak River and Astana / parliamentary house. It has a shopping mall connected it via level LG, G and level 4 where the cafe is located. Will definitely consider staying with Waterfront Hotel again in my next visit to Kuching.

房間大，地點好。。樓下就是shopping mall.而且酒店房景就是古晉州議會。。晚上9點還有音樂噴泉。。一定會再來住。。

This is probably my 5th or 6th time staying at The Waterfront Hoteland for good reason! It remains my favourite hotel in the city. The view from the room is simply magnificent, whether day or night, and always takes my breath away. I absolutely love the pool area it’s such a relaxing spot to unwind, especially with the scenic backdrop. Another major plus is the hotel’s direct connection to the mall, which makes shopping and dining super convenient without having to leave the building. The room is well-equipped with complete toiletries, which I really appreciate. Everything is kept clean and comfortable, making each stay feel like a mini escape. One small downside: the toilet floor tends to be quite slippery. Although a small toilet mat is provided, it doesn’t quite cover enough area to prevent slipping, so that’s something to be cautious about.

Front desk staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Room was spacious and clean. Nice and spacious bathroom with plenty of clean towels and amenities. Breakfast buffet spread was nice and varied. The curries available were all delicious and the roti jalal was a huge hit! Must try!

Have been to Kuching couple of times but 1st time staying at this hotel, chose it due to proximity to the Waterfront. Stayed at the King size room with a view of the DUN building and waterfront, can watch light shows every night from the room at 6th floor. Room was very spacious. Hotel is old, the mirror door was cracked. My concern was that as the hotel is linked to a mall and the mall share the same lift with the hotel, it keeps the lifts busy and us hotel guests have to wait for the lift and some non guests were able to access the rooms level if they just stayed in the lift even though they intend to access the mall, which I witness many times. Weirdos from the mall can just come knocking at your hotel room since they can just follow you to your floor without having to tap hotel card in the lift! To me this is a security and privacy concern to the safety of hotel guests. By right, non guest should only be able to access the lift up to the lobby or use a separate lift that doesnt give access to the pool and rooms. Or the lift to the mall for hotel guest be kept separate. Breakfast spread was good though I find ex at RM30-40 for my 6 year old. She could eat breakfast for free in european hotels. Pool water is also cold as you don't get the sun in. Hotel staff are all very helpful.

A great stay in waterfront, old hotel, but the furniture and cleanliness still acceptable. Great for business traveller. But suggest hotel to make a specific smoking area outside the hotel, so the smokers not standing right infront of entrance smoking and disturbing the incoming guest, the smokes are "welcoming" the guest giving unplesant experience. Very convenient access to shopping mall, but the shopping mall are old, not much star shop and eatable food, no much chinese food, nearby chinatown also not vibrant. All shops are closed. The good thing about this hotel is the direct access to shopping mall and basement parking, free parking for guest in and out without paying, ideal for car rental guest, no need to worry about raining. Loccitane shower and shampoo really good and add points.
