米娜大樓酒店 (Mina Hotel)

We stayed here whilst it was snowing, in obviously freezing conditions. We were reassured by the staff member at reception that the heating would be switched on at 9pm as it was becoming cold in our room i thought i would inquire about the heating situation,a little inconvenient as we have a three year old,but manageable,9pm arrived with no heating,and it didn't come on all night,i went to reception to find the door locked with no one present, i tried to make contact with the phone number provided,no answer after multiple attempts, also i emailed them with no success. It was freezing,we had to sleep in our clothes and cover our daughter with all the duvets in the room to try to keep her warm. In the morning, at check out, the member of staff was at reception,i explained the situation kindly because I know that boiler breakdowns happen, and this was possibly beyond anyone's control. He responded to me with a scenario that if it was his daughter freezing, he would be very angry,i replied that I don't feel that screaming and shouting gets you very far in life really. I was once again reassured of a partial refund,I left my contact number with the hotel for further updates. On our journey back home, I was contacted by phone by the hotel staff member, and he informed me that I would get a full refund. Basically,the hotel apologised and went that extra mile to contact me to further reassure me of a refund. No refund has happened after multiple attempts to speak to the management,I believe this happened with all the guests that stayed in the hotel that night,just lies to guarantee a nights revenue from the 3rd partie that we booked through. If i didn't receive all this deceit then this review wouldn't exist,and i would be concentrating on positives.Stay across the road at the Royal Eagle hotel, which is pretty much the same price,but better service.

Service was very poor; waiting for almost 20 minutes knocking at the front door. There was no receptionist to let us in; we were eventually let in by another guest at the hotel. Even when the receptionist came, no form of apology. No help to carry our suitcase up the staircase. It was just a horrible experience. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL IF YOU HAVE AN ALTERNATIVE.
