Couldn’t organise a p*** up in a brewery!!!!! Arrived 2.55pm and was told we can’t check in till 3pm. I asked for a room close to reception because of mobility issues. They gave us a room as far away from reception as you could get. Rooms weren’t ready. Staff shouting at each other across reception. As we walked down corridor all room doors were open and in the process of being s永安ped. Dirty laundry across all the hall. The staff entrance door was constantly being slammed. Room was roasting hot. Window had restricted opening.  None of the furniture matched.  Would not stay here again even if it was free!!!

Lovely place and surroundings. Good for dog walks. Rooms dated but clean. Good for an overnight.

I booked for two nights but unfortunately I had to leave after the first night due to a family matter. When my son and I arrived we were greeted by a lovely gentleman called Robert, he was very friendly and chatted to me and my son for a bit. The place is beautiful. I definitely will go back at some point. My only criticism; when I was leaving there was no one at reception, I hung around for about 10 mins and ended up leaving my key at the desk.

Here's Jonny!.... Very odd place... Breakfast served, and ended waaaay too early. Maze like design.. Won't be back.

The room I occupied smelled strongly of sweaty feet it emanated from the carpet which felt sticky and had various bits of litter and whatnot on it it definitely had not been hoovered after last guests, old used soap on stained bath I won't go on, the room was filthy, there was a dog in the room next door that barked every time I moved, I checked out after one night and found an alternative hotel because it was so bad, I wouldn't have stayed the first night but I arrived too late and tired to find somewhere else, it is the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in,and why are dogs allowed in hotel rooms of people who don't want to sleep in rooms that dogs have slept in, from Peter Richardson

We have been coming here for 8 years 10 x a year It comfortable .clean value for money The breakfast are very good as is Evening meals it has a bar There is entertainment some nights If you lucky bingo You can bring your dog it's great it's in it own grounds So walking dog is good Free parking Staff are very friendly and polite Robert who is in reception will go the extra mile for you Ask him for advice he is always happy to help You can order takeaway food Taxi Go in to preswick Town great place with a witherspoon pub 5 min drive Peter

Pity hotel was undergoing refurbishment. However, having been many times we were happy to be there and we are always well looked after. Food was better this time.

There was a funny smell coming from our corridor and room but it went away after a while. The water pressure was really weak. It took around 50 minutes to run a bath. WiFi at £7 for 24 hours per device is shocking. Especially when the signal isn’t that good. Other than that and the slow service of bar staff, we both enjoyed our stay and will probably be back again!
