Rooms very dirty. Cockroaches running everywhere. Bedsheets, linen very smelly and dirty.

Good location. Will be back again

I stayed at Hotel Royal Castle back in 2019, and at that time, the rooms weren't up to the mark. However, during my recent stay in 2024, I was pleasantly surprised by the renovations. The rooms are now much warmer and more inviting, with a charming old-world feel to the furniture. The beds were nicely made, and overall, the environment was quite comfortable. The service really stood out to me. The staff, from the person delivering the food to the one handling the luggage, were all courteous and professional. For example, I tipped Rs. 100 on one occasion and Rs. 50 on another, and I never felt any discomfort from the staff about the amount, which shows their genuine hospitality. The restaurant is highly responsive, serving food quickly, which was a big plus. The only area where I feel some improvement could be made is the breakfast options, which are quite limited. That said, since most guests probably book the bed-and-breakfast package, I understand why. We stayed here during Durga Puja, and the hotel's proximity to Chittaranjan Park Market No. 2 was a big convenience—just a short walk away. Overall, this place offers great value for money, and I highly recommend it for a comfortable and pleasant stay in the area. I strongly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a great stay at a reasonable price.

The bed mattress was terrible. It gave such bad backache and unclean linen. They should change the mattress

Location was good. Food not upto the mark. Inadequate breakfast with very few options. Amenities and services were okay

Breakfast was not at all upto the mark only 2-3 items in buffet.

Overall good. Clean and hygiene. Staff behaviour is good. And also the place. Food quality and quantity value for money. But please improve the breakfast menu

Location of the hotel is very good. Good connection with metro network. Service staff are very prompt. Food is also very tasty. Overall cleanliness is ok. Only the room needs better upkeep

First of all let me thank this hotel for giving me a room when i was not getting any place on cr park due to my last minute booking. But there was a reason they had rooms. When i first entered the hotel and went up to my room, i was shocked to find that the floors with wooden panels were all peeling and in need of immediate repair. The wooden sections of the bed was also peeling and in need of repair. The walls had water and leak marks. All around the room was in dismal condition. The towels looked worn out (not dirty but over used and washed till the white had turned grey). The next day i requested the reception for a change of room as it was impossible to stay on in that room. They shifted me to a better room - it was not worth the price i paid but at least it was not in such a run down condition.
