We had a delightful one-night stay at AWA. It's located a 5 minute drive from the center of town, but provided so many activities that the hotel itself felt like a destination. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. We enjoyed the free-flow Sake, Wine, and beer, as well as the complimentary fireworks, Onsen (private and shared), and self-guided caligraphy sessions. We were also able to borrow bikes (for free) to head into town for some dinner. Our stay at AWA was one of the highlights from our 永安.
