Our overall experience at Moon Palace Jamaica can best be described as consistently inconsistent. There were moments of excellence, but also notable gaps that ultimately make us hesitant to return. The bellmen were an absolute pleasure at every interaction. Warm, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. Our arrival greeting set a great tone, and check-in was quick, friendly, and efficient. Checkout, however, was the complete opposite. Only one staff member was available at the counter because a meeting was taking place, which resulted in us waiting over 20 minutes just to finish with the guest ahead of us and have our wristbands cut so we could leave for the airport. It was an unnecessarily stressful way to end the stay. For our family, the entertainment team is the heart and soul of an all-inclusive resort—and unfortunately, this is where Moon Palace completely fell short. At other Caribbean all-inclusives we’ve visited, the entertainment team acts as the resort’s hype crew: visible, energetic, and constantly engaging guests. They build excitement for the day, promote events, and invite you to participate. You see them everywhere—at breakfast, in the lobby, by the pool. Here, at Moon Palace Jamaica the entertainment team was the biggest disappointment and felt like a skeleton crew all week long. I genuinely couldn’t name or recognize a single member of the team. The daytime activities—pool bingo, trivia, aqua aerobics and Simon Says—felt minimal and uninspired. There was a serious lack of creativity and energy. My husband and I found ourselves repeatedly commenting on how flat the entertainment felt throughout our stay. Our son and niece were so excited to visit the kids club. Their first visit went well, but one evening when we dropped them off so we could enjoy an after dinner drink at the lobby bar, the children were asked to clean up the playroom left messy by kids from earlier in the day. While we tried to make excuses and frame it as “everyone should clean up after themselves,” this was not the experience we expected for them. They refused to return until several days later, after we convinced them it would be different staff—only to find that the kids playroom was closed for the remainder of our stay. The food across the resort was delicious overall, and we were pleased with the quality. That said, breakfast became repetitive very quickly. Additionally, at nearly every sit-down restaurant, multiple menu item were unavailable. While this may seem minor individually, the consistency of missing items across venues became a noticeable part of the dining experience. One standout moment was our breakfast service with Mr. Kevin. He was an absolute sweetheart and took exceptional care of us. His warmth and attentiveness left such a strong impression that he is the only staff member I remember by name and face—and I’m usually terrible with names. He truly deserves recognition. During our stay, there was a deeply concerning incident involving a woman with a day pass who went topless in a hot tub that contained multiple children. Several men were visibly taking photos, and no staff member intervened or addressed the situation. The lack of staff response in a family resort environment was alarming and raised serious concerns about supervision, guest safety, and enforcement of appropriate conduct. Moon Palace Jamaica has potential, but the lack of investment in entertainment, inconsistent operational execution, and lapses in family focused oversight overshadow the positives. The overall experience did not meet our expectations for a family friendly all-inclusive resort, and at this time, we do not see ourselves returning.

I celebrated with my partner on his 60th birthday, which he could not stop saying how great a gift it was for his birthday. We had an amazing time. The staff was lovely, on arrival and during the stay, I would definitely recommend the Moom Palace hotel to anyone . I am definitely going back  Pru

My experience leaving Moon Palace Jamaica was alarming and entirely unacceptable. When I attempted to exit the resort, staff intervened because I was still wearing a wristband. At no point during check-in, my stay, or checkout was I informed that the wristband had to be returned. Instead of calmly explaining this, the situation escalated rapidly. As I approached the exit gate, security personnel physically attempted to prevent me from leaving by holding the gate closed. I ultimately had to force my way through the exit in order to leave the property. This was not a misunderstanding that could be resolved with communication — it was a situation in which my ability to leave was actively impeded. Regardless of intent, preventing a guest from exiting a property over a wristband is a serious breach of protocol and raises significant legal and safety concerns. No resort, under any circumstance, has the authority to restrain, detain, or obstruct a guest who is attempting to leave — especially without prior notice, explanation, or consent. The manner in which this was handled felt coercive, intimidating, and completely disproportionate. What should have been a simple policy clarification instead created a situation that could reasonably be perceived as unlawful restraint. This is not only unacceptable from a customer-service standpoint, but potentially exposes the resort to serious liability. For a property that markets itself as a luxury destination, the lack of staff training, clear communication, and respect for guest autonomy is shocking. This incident overshadowed my entire stay and left me shaken rather than relaxed. I would strongly caution anyone considering this resort to reflect on whether they are comfortable staying at a property where basic freedom of movement during departure was not respected.

My mom has been wanting to go to this hotel for a while now so I decided to give her a surprise treat. We loved the atmosphere and that there was so much to do in terms of activities. They had water activities, gaming room, surfing pool, slide etc. We had a really good time. The only disappointment was the food, it was like a challenge to find something that we really like. The food was really a hit or miss and most times was a miss. That would be my only suggestion for improvement really. The drinks were just ok, nothing special. The coffee shop was ok as well, loved that it was 24 hours. Would return if the food is improved. The welcome party was also warm and inviting with the rose and champagne, that was a nice touch.
