We stayed 5 nights at the Beach Resort Kalakaua in a Family Cottage. It was a good size for 2 friends and all of our diving equipment; comfortable, and spacious! The room was clean, and we were given enough towels and toiletries to last 5 days. The location was walking distance to the beach, a few restaurants, and right by the 7-11 which was super handy. We had a lovely stay, but wished that there was somewhere we could hang our wet swimsuits and diving gear, either inside or outside the cabin.

If you’re traveling solo and are not planning on staying in a resort then I’d definitely recommend here. Very convenient location which can be accessed directly from the airport using the Okinawa airport shuttle. Right next to the beach and a 7/11 with restaurants also close by. If you’re not renting a car you can also use the local bus services to go both north and south. Overall a very good experience staying here

Everything is great with quiet atmosphere, very near the beach，there is 7-11 and Lawson store, which is really convenient to get some foods
