grand hotel un peu impersonnel et décati; personnel gentil (mais pas forcement très pro). super emplacement, très agréable piscine et un buffet tout à fait correct.

I don't normally write bad reviews. But the only good thing about this 3-star hotel was the garden by the lake. It's a completely old and run-down hotel. Since the lobby is intertwined with the restaurant, the smell of food is prevalent in the hotel. There is no approach to welcoming customers with a smile and courtesy at the reception anyway. A filthy room that you can't even see in one-star suburban hotels. The bathroom is dirty, the walls are moldy from humidity. The bathtub is pitch black. There are stains on the sheets. I can't even find words to describe the refrigerator. Even $5 is too much for the hotel room we paid $65 for.

The hotel has a beautiful garden with 360 degree view of the Lake, thats the only positive aspect of the hotel, i booked a lake view room but was given a partial view room. The room didn’t have a mini bar, hairdryer not working, there was noshower gels, when requested they told only shampoo is provided, which is very weird. Its a run down hotel and needs a revamp of its amenities to be called a four star hotel. For me this is worth a 3 star hotel. There is no shops or hotels nearby, so plan everything before coming to the hotel

I had an excellent stay at Hotel Sudu Araliya in Polonnaruwa! The location is absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking views and a serene ambiance. The highlight of my visit was witnessing the sunset – it was a truly magical experience. The food was delicious, with a great variety to satisfy every palate. The staff provided exceptional customer service, always friendly and attentive to our needs, making the stay even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with great views, excellent food, and warm hospitality, Hotel Sudu Araliya is the perfect choice. Highly recommended! 🌅🍽️✨

This was a great location in Polonnaruwa. We loved all the services provided. The hotel had a great garden and I would say this is one of the best hotel gardens ever experienced in Sri Lanka. I specially thank front office “Hansika” which she was very proactive in helping out, also her wonderful customer service to all of us stayed at the hotel. We also would like to thank “Dilshan” for his services throughout dining. We wish both of these staff very well and hope to come back soon. Also would definitely recommend the place for wonderful stay with fantastic views over Parakrama Samdudraya.
