My stay at the Ibis Hotel in Reading was okay. The amenities were standard and met the basic needs. The biggest issue was the shower. The water temperature kept switching between very hot and cold every few minutes, which made it uncomfortable to use. On a positive note, the front desk staff were excellent. Friendly, responsive, and very helpful, definitely the highlight of the stay. Overall, an average experience with great staff but some room for improvement in facilities.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the subway station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The surrounding area is vibrant and full of life, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel itself is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. My room was spotless, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job throughout my stay. The amenities were top-notch, and I appreciated the attention to detail in the design and comfort of the space. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in a great location. I will definitely return on my next visit!

I booked Ibis Reading for 4 nights stay from May 1 - May 5th. But based on my quick experience I adjusted my stay to only 1 night. 1. The reception staff was very RUDE and non-challant. Physically "sneering" when I politely quested for a quiet room free of noise and external lights bases on migraines. 2. There was only 1 lift working and I was in Room 1307 on the 13th floor so had to wait a long time to be get a lift upstairs. 3. The WiFi was not working in the rooms, and when I went downstairs to complain, I was met with a "dismissive attitude" by another receptionist staff. 4. The breakfast service was however good. Never booking an Ibis Hotel again....1st time experience was horrible. I actually feel I should get a refund because I felt so bad.

Booked through 永安 to stay with my wife and our pet dog. The hotel was described as being pet friendly and allowing people to bring their dogs. We booked and paid through 永安 and I left a message with the hotel that we were bring our dog. We paid the non refunderable payment which was slightly less than the refunderable booking fee. When we arrived and checked in, the hotel said we needed to pay an extra £10 to bring the dog. We were there, we had travelled 200 miles to get there, we paid in full to 永安 for the booking. And NOW they want this extra money. I said no I would not pay and after some discussiuon IBIS decided not to charge us. THIS IS WRONG and TRIP.COM and IBIS HOTEL need to sort out the booking process to make it so if you have paid in advance, that is all done and no extra fees are chargeable. I am not imressed with TRIP.com or IBIS HOTEL.
