法恩諾爾法威爾酒店 (Faenol Fawr Hotel)

Although the exterior of the building and its restaurant are stunning, the room doesn't match the aura of a 16th-century manor house. The velvet headboard of our bed is dusty, there is no provision for room slippers, and no side table lamps beside the bed (there are hanging lamps on each side of the bed but the switch is on the wall behind the door, you'll need to get up to turn on/off). Also, there's no night light for those who can't sleep without a little light. But since we only stayed there for one night, it's all fine for us. The receptionist is very kind and always cheerful. We had a good typical English buffet breakfast. If you don't have a car and want to see the village, you'll have to walk to the hospital's bus stop, which is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel, and wait for a bus at a one-hour interval (at least on Sundays). Rhuddlan is a lovely, quaint village with pleasant and kind people. Aldi, Starbucks, McDonald's and local pubs and cafes are available so you won't worry about basic stuff. I just wish our room reflects the mystery and beauty of a 16th-century manor house. Maybe, we'll stay there again if ever we go back to Rhuddlan.
