Have to improve in cleanliness.. the linen has stained and bloods on it. Not sure whether they really change the linen or not. I’m staying at ground floor, poor sound proof. Able to hear someone walking outside the hotel.

This hotel is pretty far away from many things to do in the city. The restaurants nearby are not very walkable, and it is suggested to have a car in this city in general or rent a motorbike. The staff were polite and friendly, and helped store my bag. The room was clean but very spartan.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Grand Hotel 2 in Sandakan, and I must say, it was a wonderfully comfortable experience. It was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, with a modern design that added to the overall comfort. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, providing a great night’s sleep after a day of exploring the city. Overall, my stay at The Grand Hotel 2 was very enjoyable.

The hotel was incredible welcoming and the receptionist was lovely. The room was consistent with other hotels in this price range. It's a local area with many small restaurants located nearby. The room was clean and spacious and the water was hot. Shower was nice. They left us 2 bottles of water as well. Overall very nice.
