Disappointing. Nonsmoking room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke - I assume from out of doors seeping in. Bedding quality was poor, pillows were small and lumpy, walls/doors are thin (we could hear neighbors conversations clearly all through the night, ALL night). We waited 15 minutes in an empty office area for a front desk clerk to return to the hotel when we arrived for check in, but that went smoothly once he arrived. Locating & accessing our room was easy, and we could easily park nearby. Safety is questionable. Lots of warnings about securing belongings and looking doors, and heavy front floodlighting across whole building presumably for safety, but hampered darkness in room for sleep. Obviously somewhat recently “refurbished” (room was like picture), but the surface level treatment still felt a bit grimy. Cleaning was incomplete, but I suppose that’s what you get at this price point. Also, there were bugs. Would never consider staying at another Red Roof Inn and may avoid booking again with 永安 because reviews felt misleading. We just needed 1 night before our early morning flight, but none of us (family of 4) rested well. Might have been better to sleep in the car or just hangout at the airport?
