好運酒店 (Good Hope Hotel)

everything is fine the only thing is the air conditioner very poor, I not sleep well due to room temperature is hot and birds is home at the air con compressor very noisy at night.

There was cockroach in room, called the front desk, they replied house keeping coming.. Finally no one came. Will never ever come to this hotel again.

The breakfast was Okay. I like their coffee black. Car park is quite secure but need a ram or lift for senior citizens TV programs should have more.

The location is a bit out of the "happening" places. Quiet. May not suitable for tourist. For business, still ok.

I recommend checking recent guest reviews before confirming mine booking. Based on my experience at Good Hope Hotel the in-room Wi-Fi connection was poor and barely accessible even in the lobby area. Additionally although there were five power outlets in the room only one was functional and it was used by the television and these issues significantly affected my stay.

First time staying at the hotel. Lobby has no aircon and feels stuffy and warm when we arrived in the afternoon at about 3pm. The carpark has a damp smell too. Room is relatively clean and slightly big (at least not those super cramp type of rooms). No central aircon in the room but a standalone aircon which took a while to cool down the room (I set at 16 degrees full speed) when we first entered. Noisy place where you can hear noisy motorbikes revving their engine as they rode along in the middle of the night. TV channels were limited though don't understand how come half the channels have no images at all. One strange thing that I encountered for my first time while staying in a hotel. It was past 1am when I was woken up by some guests who came back late and could hear them talking along the corridor. Fine..no big deal. Then...when one of the guests took the shower, you can hear a loud wooooooong sound continously throughout the shower. It was like you turn on your tap and there is a hollow pipe noise that will sound continuously till you turn off the tap. That was the sound. It was loud and it lasted about 5 mins. Guess that was the time it took for that hotel guest to take his or her shower. It was freaking loud 😭. Breakfast was simple and quite ok for the price. Nothing to shout about.
