La Plaza Restaurant never disappoints. Used pool that used to be Adults only and understand that local laws state you cannot restrict pools to Adults only. Changes a quiet area into bedlam and shrieking at times! Weather was sunny and warm and despite some Restaurants being closed due to holidays we did not lose any weight. Ate in Devines for the first time with new owners, and had the fillet steak deal (€48 for two inc bottle of wine) very good value. Back in three weeks for another 14 night stay so we must like it.

In summary a great week's holiday in a very good Hotel complex. Where do I start. Room was a ground floor 3 bedroom flat well equipped with hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, W/Mach. air con in lounge and all three bedrooms and well equipped kitchen area. Lounge comfortable with multi channel TV. Large terrace with loungers and table and chairs. All good. Resort which is sloping was well maintained , landscaping ditto, nice pool area, and restaurant.bar wrapped around by the pools. easy access to the "board walk" which runs around the local coast area. La Plaza restaurant provides a good range of food as well as servicing the pool area.The La plaza lounge also nice food and drink facility.Although we had no car I noted ample car parking. Staff in all areas of the Hotel were friendly and efficient. Special mention of David who assisted with our luggage into and out of the apartment. Downside really applies to people with mobility issues and users of motorised vehicles and probably families with children in prams. The access throughout the resort is via a series of paths with stairs up and down. (Short lengths). Although a road is present from the entrance to near the front of the flat areas it is relatively steep and doesn't manage all of the stairs that have to be passed to reach desired levels. Given the level changes is something which can for a majority of mobility limited people be handled( I did!) and prospective guests should endeavour to secure ground floor apartments. Re luggage transfer from reception to apartment there is porter assistant. There is a controlled by key gate system for security which guests should ensure they get a key for when they check in. Apart from the mobility issue for some people the Hotel exceed my expectations and intend to rebook when time allows. Finally the cost of the apartment we had was very reasonable for a very comfortable unit catering well for users with plenty of towels and towels for the pool area. Highly recommended. AAndrew
