Used the hotel for one night as we were departing early from the airport the following morning. We used the train as mode of transport and the hotel was a short walk from Birmingham International. We didn't use the Air shuttle. Found it quite confusing to get to the entrance to the Hotel and had to walk by it to cross the busy road further on. We arrived a little early to check in but made use of the comfortable bar and had drinks at standard hotel prices. Easy check in and the room was just what we needed. Quick change and then out for an early evening meal at the near by resorts world. Through the NEC complex. Early night as we had to vacate at 3 am. All in all a pleasant experience and like an extra days holiday. Short walk to the departures next day so an ideal location.

airport hotel 200 meters from terminal so that is really good, breakfast is OK and the IBIS restaurant is good but basic, with plastic chairs and small tables. Hygiene could be better, the air vent in the bathroom was super dirty, beds are good, and the rooms have a desk with a chair so you can check up on your emails, rooms are also quiet, no aeroplane noises or anything

Excellent service as always. Check-in was smooth, and we were able to access our room straight away. The room was clean and tidy, with tea and coffee facilities. The bathroom was a good side, with an excellent shower.

Very convenient for early morning fl8ghts to stay overnight in a comfortable bed with clean modern facilities. Loved the bathroom! Greeted nicely. The restaurant served tasty basics meals. Both bar and coffee drinks. Didn't like the removal of menus and oth8er table items whilst I was eating. I know I was a late customer. But please, after a long travelling day, I just needed some relaxing enjoyment of dinner and coffee.

The hotel is just next to the airport, perfect for my 06:00 flight in the morning. I don’t have to worry about traffic. The staff is friendly. I love they provide tea and coffee corner on the 1st floor. I can get the hot drinks.

A word of caution. My issue was resolved favourably but my advice is to check the reservation and ask the questions. The ibis Birmingham Airport has 2 levels of accommodation at the same location. I booked and paid for the Ibis through 永安. On arrival I was told the 永安 had made my reservation in Ibis Budget. The concierge told me me there was nothing he could do. I would have to take it up with the booking agent, 永安. I accepted the room ( I have stayed here before in ibis Budget, I knew what to expect. Perfectly adequate for an early morning departure.) My disappointment was that I had booked and paid for the higher end accommodation on this occasion. Needless to say, I contacted customer support services and after sometime and various explanations and photographs, my issue was understood. I chose to accept the compensation offered.

Stay was fine rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Great location for Birmingham Airport. But after I checked out I received notification from my bank to say they had charged me for the room on my bank card without my permission. I had already paid for the room in full via a third party prior to my arrival and the lady on reception confirmed this when I arrived! I have spoken and emailed numerous times and 5 days on I have still not received my refund from them. The hotel are blaming the third party! Very unhappy that I am having to chase them for an unauthorised charge to my bank account!!

Booked the ibis and got put into the ibis budget rooms which was not what we had booked. No help from ibis staff who checked their system and we had been out in the wrong room so signposted us to 永安. No offer to pay a fee to change rooms just rebook and pay again. 永安 who we booked with were not contactable. Be careful using third party booking sites as they charged for one thing and booked us something else. Won't use either ibis or 永安 again.
