埃什比酒店 (Ashbys)

I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at Ashby's Guest House. The reality of the accommodation was far from the "luxury" advertised. Upon arrival, the lack of cleanliness was immediately apparent, with skid marks in the toilet and what appeared to be period blood stains on the bedding. The room was in dire need of renovation; door hinges were falling off, and there were unexplained cracks, screws, and random items on the walls. Privacy was a major concern due to the excessive amount of cameras and finding some cameras hidden in private cubicals and bathroom which a report to police has been made throughout the property. This made for an uncomfortable and intrusive experience. Even a budget travel lodge would offer better attention to detail and a higher standard of cleanliness than what I encountered here. Due to these issues, particularly the lack of privacy and the unsanitary conditions, I will not be returning to Ashby's Guest House and cannot recommend it to others. The state of the room was so unsettling that we were unable to sleep on our final night. This stay was a complete letdown. The most disturbing aspect of our stay was the discovery of hidden cameras recording in some of the bedrooms. We accidentally accessed the camera system through the Alexa smart home on the TV and were shocked to find live feeds from these hidden devices. We immediately took pictures as evidence of this egregious breach of privacy. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious ethical and legal concerns. The fact that such surveillance was taking place without our knowledge or consent is a gross violation and made us feel extremely unsafe and violated. To make matters worse, we discovered bed bugs in the beds. This was evident from the tell-tale signs of bites and the presence of the bugs themselves. This not only made for an incredibly uncomfortable and sleepless night but also raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the establishment. The thought of these pests crawling around while we slept was deeply unsettling, and it's unacceptable for any accommodation to have such an issue. Adding to my disappointment, it was clear that staff had entered our room without our consent or even a request for permission. Our belongings had been disturbed, indicating that they had been gone through. Fortunately, we had the foresight to keep all valuables with us at all times, but this intrusion only heightened our sense of unease and violation of privacy during our stay. This unacceptable behavior further solidified our decision not to return and to advise others against booking here.

Great and amazing host 10/10

Excellent stay, host was fantastic and showed us around whilst offering advice on local attractions. Room was exceptional, clean, well decorated and very comfortable. Superb all round.

it was great time and everything was perfect

The lobby was lovely and beautiful. The room and washroom was small in comparison to money paid. Though app mentioned that spa had extra charge but even sauna was chargeable which was not mentioned in the app.

Perfect location, great facities! Better to have clear guildlines about parking in advance!

地理還不錯吧，離海邊及景點也都步行可達。沒有早餐，出門吃早餐也很方便。叫酒店不合適，最多就是精品民宿吧。房間還蠻大的，衞生間設施也還齊全，也很乾凈。服務基本沒有。

Nice, comfortable and very friendly hotel. Huge double bed. All rooms are very clean. A car park is very close to the hotel ( walk out of the hotel door, across the road and your in the carpark.
