I chose this hotel as a stopover before heading to Mount Bromo, and since I arrived in Surabaya around midnight, its proximity to Surabaya Gubeng Train Station was a big plus. However, the building seems quite old, and the noise from the air conditioner and nearby train station at night made it hard to sleep. Most importantly, when I turned off the lights to sleep, the power to charge my phone and other electronic devices also stopped. Considering the low price, it was fine for a short stay.

The location of the hotel is very close to the railway station, and the facilities are good, but generally speaking, it is cost-effective. In the past, there are larger windows to enjoy a lot of sunshine, which is a good choice for people who need to take the train.

You could see that the hotel needs some renovation. The furniture, bathroom, etc. look old and worn. The bed is OK. The Staff are friendly. The location is excellent, within walking distance of Gubeng station.

Lupa foto kondisi kamar, tapi pesan lewat 永安 dpt harga 200k lumayan utk sekelas hotel di pusat kota. Tapi tanpa sarapan sih. Gak papa. Amenitis cukup lengkap, yg krg sih gak ada hairdryer tapi ada setrika. Pelayanan baik.

The hotel is very near the Gubeng Train Station and it was really convenient for us to stay there as we had a train to catch to Solo. However, the noise from the train horns and the trains moving may be a little annoying. Other than that the hotel is a bit old but we don’t mind as ling as the bed is comfortable.

Pengalaman pertama saya menginap di sahid hotel surabaya. Hotelnya termasuk tipe hotel lama, karyawannya sangat ramah dan membantu, kamar saya di upgrade dr superior ke delux (thanks a lot btw), kamarnya sangat luas dan saya suka tipe kamar seperti ini tidak terasa sesak, view kamar menghadap kota, sarapan pagi rasanya enak², parkiran luas, lokasi dekat kemana² terutama alun² surabaya, monkasel, plaza surabaya dan stasiun gubeng. First impression memuaskan, dgn harga yg murah saya mendapatkan pengalaman yang memuskan.

A convenient location if you're using the train station, but crossing the streest to get to the nearby shopping malls etc. is difficult. The building is aged, but the room was clean, the mattress was very comfortable, and air con strong. My main complaint is the weak Wifi, both the speed (only 10mbps) and signal strength in my room. The front desk was generous enough to upgrade my room for free -- thank you!
