金馬倫高原熏製房酒店 (The Smokehouse Hotel & Restaurant Cameron Highlands)

Everything good but just no Aircon in the room could be a bit stuffy even with window opened.

About 20 years ago, on a 永安 to Cameron Highlands, I went to Ye Olde Smokehouse for a classic English high tea. It was gorgeous, with a fire in the fireplace and all the staples of a proper high tea including scones and such. This time, since we were going to Cameron Highlands, I thought we should actually stay at the Smokehouse. Great decision. It's as charming as ever. Staying there gave us a chance to enjoy the lovely bar, gardens, dining room - all very old school and pukka! Staff are exceptional. Given that it's an old property, the rooms are a bit old school - but very nice all the same. Very reminiscent of a British club rather than a hotel - so perhaps not quite as refined as a modern 5 star hotel would be, but everything works, the rooms are comfy and there are lots of verandahs to sit out and enjoy the gardens from right outside your room. It was one of the more expensive hotels of our 永安 but definitely worth it.

This is one of the worst and poorly maintained hotel. Sofa and carpet was very dirty. Bathroom rail was almost falling off. Table and cupboard has old wornout marking. Bed linen was dirty. Walk up stairs, leading to the room was uneven, and partly shertered by rusty metal roof, with rain dripping on us. Whole established was too under maintained to be collecting any $$ at all Water heather was a tank based where 2 units were sharing 1 tank. Just happened the backup heather in house unit short circuit or 永安ped (both units same time??) Causing in flow water to be cold! If based on the tank water, once 1 person used, the others in 2 rooms that i booked couldnt bathe. Reception asked me to wait 15 mins before the next person gets to shower. Imagine, it would take to shower as I have booked 2 rooms with 4 adults!! Probably a tasks to complete in 1.5 hrs After a second call to recep saying i would ask for my money/ refund back, then they offered to send a maintenance guy over. Issue was fixed, but it was late night, and a few of us did not shower for the night. Finally last straw, we checked out the following day, even though I had booked 2 nights. Hotel staff did nothing not even any words upon hearing it.

總體來説酒店很別緻，戶外花園種滿了花花草草，室內則是各種英式古董傢俱和掛畫，還有一個烤火的壁爐，晚上坐在壁爐前喝杯小酒很愜意。 喜歡英國鄉村風格的朋友很適合來這裏住。

The staff was really friendly the food was good the environment was superb

Website stated ‘polished’ (service). This was not across the board. The worst was the unfriendly receptionist called Teo, who has no customer service. Smokehouse is in desperate need of a deep clean and maintenance. Chipped bath tub, chipped restarant tables, Dirty rugs, cushions, upholstery and an unsightly sun roof over the restaurant, are signs of neglect. The Glenlee suite’s shower head was broken. We lodged a complaint before leaving for a day’s sightseeing. We returned to discover nothing was done and staff at the reception, who included Teo, had no recall of our complaint. Pillow casss smelt stale and awful. We brought it to Teo and asked her to smell it. She just stared at the pillows, refused to remove her face mask to smell the pillow cases until we insisted for the umpteenth tkme. Unbelievable. It is far from polished. The rooms facing the road, are very noisy throughout the night and day. Do not book these. We do not recommend stays at the Smokehouse. But do go for meals because the waiters are good and the food is pretty decent.

好像進入了異鄉小國一樣 雖然房裡沒有冷氣與風扇但是晚上還是涼颼颼的 早餐非常推薦 早餐是可以自行選擇主食的 現煮而不是自助餐那種哦～ 夜景景色也很優美 適合放鬆心情度假了
