Check in and checkout counter staff were friendly. Apart from that nothing good about this hotel. Very old filthy hotel. Look ******* and have safety issues, not safe for children at all. Newer section of hotel facing noisy road. Again not safe as you need to cross road to access hotel amenities and beach. You will get literally microwaved as the hotel top floor has 5g tower. Hotel drainage goes straight to beach section, which is reserved for hotel guest. We could see a lot of dead fish in beach. So be ready to get disappointed in beach. If you dont ask, whether its inclusive, you will get charged for drinks. Example dinner buffet do not include any drinks. Gift shop staffs in the hotel and most importantly most products are fake and marketed as genuine and sold at high price. For example shawl they call pashmina , is only normal wool, which can be bought at 200 rupees in amazon, but here sold at 10k min  Buggy problem. Without long walk or buggy, access is limited. Be ready to wait long in severely mosquito prone area for long time for buggy.  And be ready for diarrhoea or heart burn after having food here. Some of our family member experienced this. Too much hyped, perfectly marketed hotel. Not worth money you pay for Perfect case study for good marketing

Шикарное расположение отеля, номер брали в главном корпусе. Красивая и ухоженная территория, персонал приветлив, всегда интересовались нашими пожеланиями. Бассейн небольшой, но у номеров с видом на сад и клубных есть свои бассейны, поэтому людей было мало, спокойно можно было разместиться на лежаках. Не понравились навязчивые таксисты у въезда в отель. Вызвали убер, так они не дали водителю нас забрать! Пришлось подняться чуть выше (в сторону отеля Гоколам) и только там мы смогли сесть в машину. Очень неприятно, а для отеля такого класса не понятно почему разрешают стоянку такси, почувствовали себя не в безопасности! Имейте ввиду, если будете пользоваться убером, что на территорию отеля водитель заехать не сможет и даже к воротам, нужно пройти выше по дороге, только там можно будет сесть в машину, минуя эту мафию таксистов.

Great experience! Staff was kind and friendly. May be the rooms could all be modernised from inside as the old tiles give a bit of a dull outlook. Lighting inside the rooms needs to be brightened too. Some rooms we booked didn’t have proper Air-con controls.

Really loved this property, jus on the shoreline with a beautiful beach, jus 5 mins walk. Pools are really amazing with infinity pools. Loved the food in both the in house restaurants but bit pricy. Room is super beautiful with views and all the amenities. Overall good experience!!

The Leela, Kovalam is an amazing hotel, which my 11 year old son and I would highly recommend! It is on a cliff top overlooking the Arabian Sea. We upgraded to Club Room, which provides you with access to The Cafe, a restaurant serving Club members complimentary breakfast 7-10:30am and High Tea 5-6pm and additional a La carts chargeable lunch and dinner. The Club room is exceptional, with a balcony with table and chairs overlooking the Arabian Sea, King bed with very comfortable mattress and bedding, fantastic walk in shower, sink and toilet, with all the toiletries. Rooms are cleaned well and the food is wonderful. We ate everything safely with no upset stomached here and the staff were wonderful! We would happily return!
