The owners are very kind and welcoming and can communicate well in English. I felt at home during my stay. The room was quite spacious, with a private toilet inside, and the ryokan also has its own onsen (to be honest, it somehow felt even prettier and bigger than the other nine onsens). I even had the whole place to myself when I was there haha. This is one of the places I miss the most in Shibu Onsen.

Staying here was a nice experience. The place was quiet and had a nice view. It is the perfect location. The onsen was nice. You get a key to access the 9 Shibu onsen baths and you can buy the stamp towel on site. I was given a ride to the snow monkey park and the station.

Прекрасный хозяин. Все рассказал, трансфер к обезьянам и к вокзалу предоставил бесплатно. В номере тоже все устроило. Только были оч сильно пыльные статуэтки и другое, что стоит на полках. Все остальное очень чисто, белье чистое, футоны удобные, одеяла теплые. В общем, рекомендую

非常温馨的日式房間～也很大！！ 整棟民宿主人收拾得非常乾淨，很喜歡交流 可以預約接站/去雪猴公園的pickup service！ 有鑰匙去公共的九個湯，民宿自帶一個室內和室外的泡池～

我們來志賀高原滑雪，來過湯田中四次，住過8個不同的民宿，大丸屋是最好的一個： A 老闆的英文不錯，交流沒有問題（老闆娘不大會）； B 房間裏有衞生間，很方便（大部分民宿的衞生間是公用的，不方便） C 在温泉鎮上，吃飯很方便； D 出門就是車站，去山上滑雪方便； E 室內温泉和室外温泉都很大，給力； F 老闆很nice，提供接站/送站/去snow monkey park的服務（這在大雪紛飛的湯田中非常重要，部分民宿不提供） 一句話，來志賀高原滑雪，選大丸屋沒錯的！

Wonderful service and location. Host will pick up at station and also can drop u at monkey park. The ryokan shared onsen is lovely, clean and wide. Private onsen is also quite unique an comfortable. Breakfast was large and delicious, brought to your room. The ryokan guests also have access to all the 9 Shibu onsen public baths. We were really thankful to have the chance of staying here, thanks a lot Yumoto! Ps: emails are rarely answered, better call to phone

The host auntie and uncle were very friendly and taken good care of our needs:) They speak excellent English and explained everything to us about using the public baths here in the onsen town. We pick the option with breakfast and dinner, although seems we have been ripped off by 永安, and it costs way less if we had ordered from the ryokan directly:(….a lot of people do the option without the meals as there are a good selection of rrstaurants jn the onsen town, we we hadn't known about.
