福屋旅館 (Fukiya Ryokan)

Fukiya is an old ryokan on the hill in Yugawara village. Water of Natural hot spring seems to be active and healing. Ryokan itself old but really good maintained. The place is extremely clean! Every tiny detail is cared of, you feel like it is titanic part of work to provide this level of cleanness. The food. This was the best food among visited ryokans. It is really the highest level. The chef-cook should be given Michelin or whatever, it is just unbelievable how everything was presented and cooked. All the food is the highest quality, absolutely delicious. I consider myself as demanding client, they exceeded my expectations regarding the food. The were a few things for improvement, though… I did not like the fact that there is no restaurant zone and all the food is brought to your room. They start preparing around 7 am, coming into your room and loudly announcing “good morning!” and the appearance of staff was never quiet ). Being after long night flight, this was a challenge. They close baths from 9:30 am to 2 pm, which limits your ability to use Onsen , even though it is the best time for guests to enjoy hot spring. The lady, who prepared everything in the room was nice but way too pushing and loud and a bit chaotic, we felt like we were being kicked out of the hotel (the lady even was running pushing us and our luggage out of the hotel 🤪), that they forgot to put our bags in taxi. Finally, we arrived to the train station without luggage and were upset that our visit finished that way

Just what my soul needed! When I first arrived, I was a bit underwhelmed. I had just lost a cat also so I was a bit doomed. There are so many doors in the tatami room and it looks dark everywhere plus there are many things to remember and also the translator machine doesn’t make full sense. However, after the first soak and then the first dinner, everything make sense! Japanese are good at hitting the key note right! I reallize that everything has been thought through! The rooftop bath where it is first come first serve is perfect for starting your unwinding. The 7 courses dinner was mesmerizing and the lady who take care of me is delightful. After 2 nights stay, I even feel like we made connection beyond the translator devices. I have use all the baths and they are all amazing. Breakfast is also a real feast. In terms of location for me is perfect. The view from balcony kept me looking out and just watch the fog goes by. The Manyo park is in walking distance ( recommended to go, very refreshing also has a cafe there) the museum is alright but can be missed. Fudo fall is a joke from google map, better to go by bus! Yugawara is a sleepy little town so best for relaxing not for many activities. And Fukiya ryokan is a perfect place for such. A true healing for body and mind. I cherished my memory of being there and I am very grateful.

第一次體驗這種純日式旅館，雖然衹是匆忙的住了一晚，但體驗十分豐富多彩。服務人員熱情且貼心，雖然幾乎全靠翻譯機和肢體語言，也並沒有影響我們交流。負責照顧我們的阿姨會耐心幫我們換裝，提醒我們去欣賞櫻花，問問我們去哪玩，感覺特別像自家親戚在照顧來旅行的孩子。這大概就是家庭旅館的含義吧。晚餐和早餐都十分美味，且充足！女生真真是吃不完啊！在得知我們有人生日，更是得到了手寫的祝福卡片，感動極了！我們朋友約好下次要多留點時間再來這裏！

位於湯河原的高處，陽台可以俯瞰小鎮，每天被晨光和鳥語喚醒，非常愜意，適合放空； 温泉是真温泉，泡完皮膚會變得光滑透亮，總共3個泡池，1個私湯需要預約，2個屋頂泡池無人就可以進去。因為房間不多，去了基本都能享受到； 料理很贊，令人回味； 服務熱情周到，感覺這裏的員工是把這裏當做家，希望來到這裏的每一位客人都像回家一樣。 值得再去 期待再去！

酒店有點歷史也不是最fashion 但是非常乾淨 所有的員工都非常友好 而且very helpful，不是那種衹是態度好的，接近管家服務 還有體驗傳統浴袍的part 女孩子還有彩色浴袍可選 餐飲 很棒 早餐很有儀式感，晚餐因為我們自身原因無法吃完所有course 但是也很花心思 感覺是很有水準的懷石。 私湯進入即可 房間內有木桶浴缸 孩子突然發燒，在很短的時間內拿到了葯和冰寶貼 真的是很棒的 值得二刷的小眾旅館

以為房內有温泉池，原來要預約私湯，而且私湯是一個小型木桐，差點容不下三個小朋友，雖然環境優美，但略小氣。
