Parking was an issue. Despite filtering for hotels with parking, the (lack of availability) was not that clear on booking. Person who booked me in was a little sarcastic and pointed me to their website. I booked through 永安! Parking cost me an extra £10! When went to my room, there was some guy just off the landing putting up a ceiling grid but the work area was not cordoned off which would be usual as ceiling grid involves sharp metal profile. There are a few health and safety points worth the hotel picking up on a professional walk round.  The breakfast menu clearly states “freshly brewed coffee”. It isn’t. It’s instant coffee. When I ask for fresh coffee, I was told that I could have some but I’d have to wait for the bar to open (!). Poor.   Room was good and clean. Breakfast minus coffee was OK.

Its a bit of a tired dog but it has character, is cared for, reasonably priced and is in a good location. I've stayed a few times in the past year or two & will happily stay again.

Room is cosy and bigger than normal room size. Convenience location which near the Guay Wharf and University of Portsmouth. There has many store and convenient shop near hotel.

Awful place, not worth any penny. Old and dirty room, not as the photos on the application. Lifts were not working. Walking distance to room was 3-4 mins, isolated room no service person around. Room door card was problem, it was working after 9-10 times tried. Couldn’t sleep due to the dust in the room.
